Written by Obsidian | May 20, 2019

The Barclays Capital Solutions team in a recent study explored opportunities for the global hedge fund industry in 2019. Even with the shifting trends in relationships towards hedge funds, the bank believes that investors will remain committed to them. The infographic below, published by Barclays, shows the investors’ global hedge funds priorities for 2019.

The bank suggests that going forward winning managers will fall into one of two categories:

  • Managers who can match the customized needs of their investors
  • Managers that offer differentiated and uncorrelated offerings

Irrespective of the category, relationships with investors on a large scale, great insight into their desired goals and identifying trends in deep-rooted historical investor conduct will be critical to successfully predicting investors’ emerging needs and aspirations.
